One of the most beautiful and well-known spas in Hungary, the Eger Thermal Bath has been welcoming visitors since 1932 and has remained popular ever since. The bath is located on a 5-hectare area, where there are 13 swimming pools, sports fields and a playground. In addition, there is direct access to the Turkish Bath. The special feature of the bath is that, uniquely in the country, two types of medicinal water are available to those wishing to relax: radon medicinal water and sulfur thermal water.

The Eger cellar system is known as the City Under the City, but today it operates as the Time Tunnel. This location offers great recreational opportunities not only for those interested in local culture and history, but also for those looking for fun.

The Kopcsik Marzipan and Bell Casting House offers a special experience to every visitor. The city's renowned master confectioner, Lajos Kopcsik, not only dreamed up but also realized this unique exhibition. The name Marzipan itself suggests the uniqueness of the exhibition: all the works presented here are made of sugar. The building not only celebrates the art of confectionery, but also commemorates the once flourishing bell casting craft, within the framework of a separate exhibition.

The memorial house, as its name suggests, was once the home of Géza Gárdonyi and can still be visited today. The writer lived in the beautiful old building between 1897 and 1922. Gárdonyi bought the house in a dilapidated state, which he gradually transformed according to his own needs. He was fascinated by the charm of the place, as from here he could see the Eger Castle, the city and the peaks of the Mátra Mountains, everything that was close to his heart.

The Egri Road Beatles Museum is located in the historic city center of Eger, and has been attracting visitors since 2015 in the Hotel Korona Eger building. The museum offers nearly 2,000 artifacts on 450 square meters, from the basement to the first floor. There are only a few cities in the world with a similar theme.

The church art exhibition here authentically presents the life and work of the bishops and archbishops of Eger. The exhibited objects not only evoke the past of the diocese and the palace, but also the role of the church in our lives. The southern wing of the building complex still performs its original function today.

As part of the program, you can visit the Camera Obscura, the Panoramic Terrace, the Hell Miksa Astronomy Museum, the Scientific Playhouse, the György Barna Optical History Exhibition, the Jedlik Ányos Experimentarium and the Fogadó Hall. Planetarium lectures and unusual science classes are offered upon request and by prior arrangement (with a minimum of 5-10 people).

You can taste the finest wines of the Eger wine region on site. The green belt cellar row is the perfect place to spend a fun afternoon, where you can not only taste but also look around and buy wine. The Szépasszonyvölgy, which today has about 200 cellars, is one of the most visited parts of Eger. In recent decades, many renowned wineries have settled here, so the offer has become increasingly rich.

Eger Castle is a key site in Hungarian history, where in 1552 István Dobó and his team heroically defended the castle from the Turks. Interactive exhibitions, period performances and captivating historical reconstructions bring the events of the past closer to visitors.
